GLORI OIL'S S3 PROCESS/ SAMPLE - SIMULATE - STIMULATE

S3 Process
Glori Oil pioneered the S3 Process as a project management system
that bridges the gap between advanced
biotechnology research, petroleum engineering, reservoir customization,
and field implementation.
Temperature, pressure, water salinity, oil rheology, and
rock mechanics
are key reservoir paramaters that can change
over the working life of your
reservoir and dramatically impact oil production.
GloriOil’s
S3 Process delivers customized microbial treatment
systems
that alter
relative permeability, oil and water mobility,
and skin. Treating producer or injection wells with the appropriate BEOR™ system increase oil production and extend the economic life of
your reservoir.
S3 is a sequential
integrative approach that fosters a collaberative working relationship with clients to manage projects and assess risk versus
performance at each logical step. Benchmarks are used and
performance scorecards developed to align with client needs.
Sampling (S1)
GloriOil obtains representative oil and anaerobic water samples from your reservoir as a part of our
screening process to evaluate BEOR™ potential and develop monitoring baselines. The samples are
inoculated immediately at the wellsite using a rich blend nutrient media. Isolations are performed
and selection of optimal consortia is achieved through comparison on “the Matrix”, a multi-
parametric grid used to compare performance along different functional dimensions. Once the
consortia is determined, the final stages of nutrient media optimization are completed. Oil
samples are analyzed for biodegradability and suitability for treatment. Water samples are analyzed
for chemical composition and compatibility.
At the end of the S1 phase, GloriOil reviews findings and performance expectations against a
scorecard with its clients before moving forward to the S2, Simulation phase.
Simulation (S2):
Coreflood tests are performed in our lab using representative field samples, Berea, or sandpack
material to verify BEOR™ performance under simulated reservoir conditions. GloriOil scientists
conduct pressure tests on microbial consortia and our engineers work with clients to further screen
prospect wells and fields.
Engineers run numerical simulations to design treatments and pulsing protocols at either production
or injection nodes in your field. Additionally, our engineers can conduct Nodal Analysis to help
further screen candidate wells and fields for our BEOR™ service.
For flood projects, we work with Streamsim Technologies to develop powerful three dimensional
streamline models from which we develop treatment and pulsing protocols tailored to reservoir
needs.
At the end of the S2 phase, GloriOil reviews findings and performance expectations against a
scorecard with its clients before moving forward to the S3, Stimulation phase.
Stimulation (S3):
GloriOil’s unique combination of proprietary dry blend and concentrated liquid treatment packaging
can be shipped and stored anywhere in the world for delivery to customer fields. GloriOil’s certified
field technicians use our MicrobeExpress™ Blending and Pumping systems to assure the highest
degree of quality and control when pulsing BEOR™ treatments specifically designed for your current
reservoir conditions.
GloriOil then works with its clients to monitor water and oil production after
the treatment and continuously
improve and adapt future BEOR™pulsing programs that positively influence
future oil production. |
